眼科手術シミュレーターEYESIで手術体験中
I am a 24 year old medical student and I am very grateful that my home-university, Medical University of Vienna, has an exchange program with Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine because of that my colleague Sarah and I have got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to do a clinical training at the Ophthalmology Department of Nagoya University Hospital. We started our 2-week-long internship in early October 2013 and since the first day we felt very comfortable and to be in good hands. We have got a very well-structured schedule, which allowed us to experience the Ophthalmology Department in all its facets. Alternation was provided by the numerous informative examinations and surgeries we could see. Every day we were introduced to another doctor -everybody took care of us and every step was explained to us. We have got the opportunity to practice on a simulator for cataract and vitrectomy surgeries, which was a very informative and impressive experience. We also were invited to Professor Eberhart Zrenner’s presentation about new strategies for hereditary retinal degeneration, which was held in the office of the Ophthalmology Department. Professor Eberhart Zrenner is a well-known researcher working for the Institute for Ophthalmic Research, University of Tübingen and we had the possibility to meet him in person at the dinner after his presentation. I am fully persuaded about the high-teaching quality at the Ophthalmology Department of Nagoya University Hospital and want to express my very sincere appreciation and gratitude to the all the doctors, who realized this very pleasant and educational time.

私達はまた、眼科部門のオフィスで開催された遺伝性網膜変性のための新しい戦略に関しての、Eberhart Zrenner教授のプレゼンテーションに招待されました。Eberhart Zrenner教授はTübingen大学の眼科研究所に所属する、大変有名な研究者であります。講演後の夕食会で個人的に彼とお話する機会がありました。
私は名古屋大学医学部附属病院の眼科での高い教育の質が良くわかりました。この非常に充実した時間と、教えていただいた全ての医師に、心から感謝したします。
